Role Overview
The Systems Engineer II plays a pivotal role in delivering solutions that improve product development consistency, efficiency, and productivity. This role focuses on architectural design decisions for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) products and spans the full development lifecycle: pursuit, design, requirements, integration, verification, and qualification.
The role is hybrid, with 3 days on-site at Aguadilla, PR, and 2 days remote. Relocation is not offered, and applicants must reside in Puerto Rico at the start of employment.
Key Responsibilities

Define and review system requirements across multiple projects
-
Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts using tools like Magic Draw CAMEO, Rhapsody, and Enterprise Architect

Conduct requirements-based testing for complex systems

Identify and document architecturally significant requirements and technical risks
-
Serve as system lead for integration, verification, and validation activities

Estimate, track, manage, and report on technical, cost, schedule, and risk performance

Recommend new approaches, tools, and techniques to enhance technical processes
Qualifications
Required:
-
Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field

Professional English communication skills (verbal and written)

U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility)
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
Preferred:

Agile systems engineering experience

MBSE experience with Magic Draw CAMEO, Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect

Domestic travel availability up to 50%

Experience in requirements specification and systems lifecycle management
